Lupicaleage® bi-crops
Lupicaleage® is a bi-crop of lupins and triticale and is the first designer forage for dairy cows and beef cattle.
Lupicaleage® is a high energy forage which supplies starch, protein and disgestible fibre to the rumen. It is suitable for conventional and organic systems. As a significant part of the diet, it can increase forage dry matter intake, milk yield, milk constituents and reduce dependence on bought-in feeds.
The triticale and lupin mix should be treated with Biotal wholecrop legume. This is a crop specific additive which improves preservation, aerobic stability and increases fibre digestibility.
