Biotal BioCrimp for legumes

Crimping is an excellent method of harvesting lupins; it allows the producer to harvest the crop 2-3 weeks earlier.

The crop is harvested at 30% moisture using a combine harvester then processed through a crimping machine. Yields of moist grain tend to be higher then dry grain because there is less grain shed and pod splitting.

The crimped lupin grain is then clamped and stored as any other silage crop to ensure that all air is excluded.

A suitable additive should be used to ensure that the nutrients are preserved and aerobic stability is maximized. Biotal Biocrimp is the ideal additive to ensure effective preservation.

Biotal Biocrimp
