Biotal WholeCrop Legume

Any legumes (peas, beans, lupins) or bi- crops can be harvested as fermented wholecrop.

They are an excellent source of home grown protein increasing both traceability and sustainability. As with all forages one of the most important decisions is when to harvest.

This will effect both the crop yield and quality along with the yield of nutrients. For legume crops it is important that the protein yield is maximised.

The higher protein levels in this type of forage tends to buffer the wholecrop making it more difficult to archive a good fermentation.
