Levucell® SC  is a concentrated live yeast specifically selected to enhance the nutrition and health of ruminants, especially useful for early lactation dairy cows and beef cattle finishing.

The strain (Saccharomyces CNCM I-1077) has been chosen for its specific properties :

• Stabilization of rument pH and reduction in acidosis risk
• Stimulation of the microbial biomass of the rumen
• Stimulation of the enzymatic and cellulolytic activities in the rumen,
• Improvement of the anaerobic rumen environment (anaerobiosis)

By enhancing rumen health, Levucell® SC improves feed efficiency. 

Registration

Europe: On March 2007, Levucell® SC has been authorized in Europe as a zootechnical feed additive in dairy goats and sheep (E1711).

On July 2005, Levucell® SC, rumen specific live yeast, has been granted permanent authorisation from the EU (E1711) for use in bovine destined for dairy and meat production.
