Levucell® SC is a concentrated live yeast specifically selected to enhance the nutrition and health of ruminants.

The strain (Saccharomyces CNCM I-1077) has been chosen for its specific properties :

• Stabilisation of rument pH and reduction in acidosis risk
• Stimulation of the microbial biomass of the rumen
• Stimulation of the enzymatic and cellulolytic activities in the rumen
• Improvement of the anaerobic rumen environment (anaerobiosis)

By strengthening the rumen flora developement, Levucell® SC improves the digestion of feed and the health of young ruminants. Levucell® SC is recommended in calf solid feed destined to the rumen. it is not for use in milk replacer.

Registration

On July 2005, Levucell® SC, rumen specific live yeast, has been granted permanent authorisation from the EU (E1711) for dairy cows and beef cattle.
